The Glorioso Islands Marine Natural Park (French: Parc naturel marin des Glorieuses) is a marine park at the entrance of the Mozambique Channel, around the Glorioso Islands, in the Indian Ocean. It extends for more than 43,000 square kilometres (17,000 sq mi) until the edge of the French overseas territory 's exclusive economic zone .
The Scattered Islands in the Indian Ocean (French: Îles Éparses or Îles Éparses de l'océan Indien) consist of four small coral islands, an atoll, as well as a reef in the Indian Ocean; they constitute the fifth district of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, [1] though sovereignty over some or all of the islands is contested by the Comoros, Madagascar, and Mauritius.
Mayotte is part of the Comoro Islands archipelago, which lies within the Mozambique Channel in the western Indian Ocean. Established in 2010, the park covers the entirety of Mayotte's territorial waters and exclusive economic zone. It is contiguous with the Glorioso Islands Marine Natural Park, which was established two years later.

The Glorioso Islands were administered by the colonial Comoros before 1975, and are therefore sometimes considered part of the Comoros Archipelago. Banc du Geyser , a former island in the Comoros Archipelago, now submerged, is geographically located in the Îles Éparses , but was annexed by Madagascar in 1976 as an unclaimed territory.
