The tower is in two stages with a hipped roof and a tall weathervane finial.
The outer porch is the only one visible from the exterior and dates from circa 1325. The outer porch is the most celebrated part of the current building as well as one of its greatest treasures, being one of only three medieval hexagonal porches in existence in England. [ 14 ]
