The Room Store (commonly stylized as RoomStore) was a chain of furniture retail stores in the eastern and southern United States, which operated from 1992 to 2012. The company, which was owned by RoomStore, Inc., specialized in retailing all the pieces of furniture for an entire room rather than individual pieces of furniture.
Arrowhead Towne Center, often referred to by locals as Arrowhead Mall, [2] is a super-regional shopping mall located in Glendale, Arizona (west suburban Phoenix). The mall is owned by Macerich & GIC Private Limited. The mall features Macy's, Dillard's, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods in addition to a 14-screen AMC Theatres, and Round 1.
In November 2001, the mall was renamed Phoenix Spectrum Mall, [4] and Grossman Company Properties began a $10 million renovation project. The mall changed its focus to discount stores, starting with the demolition of The Broadway and replacement by Walmart (originally built as a discount store, later expanded into a Supercenter) in 1994. Both stores were permanently closed in early 2021. A new stand alone location was later opened in the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. Michael Goldwater, a Polish Jewish immigrant and the grandfather of U.S. Senator and 1964 presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, established a trading post in 1860 in Gila City, Arizona Territory. In 1872, he moved to Phoenix where he opened a new store. The Phoenix store did poorly and was closed a short time later.
