The Columbus Transfer Company Warehouse, also known as the Carr Building, is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was built in two phases, in 1882 and 1900, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. [1] [2] The building was rehabilitated from 1982 to 1983. [3]
The Lazarus Building is a commercial building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was the flagship store of the F&R Lazarus & Company , a department store founded nearby in 1851. The building, completed in 1909, housed the Lazarus department store until 2004, one year before its brand was retired.
Its most recent use was to hold the gallery of Ohio State University art professor Pheoris West. In 2016, the structure was sold [1] to the nonprofit organization Partners Achieving Community Transformation (PACT). The site was subsequently listed as one of Columbus's most endangered historic sites, in the 2016 listing by Columbus Landmarks.
