The Bachelor of Industrial Design (B.I.D.) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded by a university for a four-year course of study that specializes on the design of industrial products. [1] Some colleges also offer four-year B.I.D. programs.
In 1954, a dean was placed to lead the industrial design program but it continued to have very little school and student interest. In 1967, Industrial Design merged with graphics, creating the Department of Design. It was officially established with four-year degree programs in industrial and graphic design.
