The first subsidiary of Desjardins Group was established in 1944 under the name of "Société d'assurance des caisses populaires" (SACP). In 1948, Desjardins Life Insurance, known today as Desjardins Financial Security (DFS), was created. In the post-war environment, they merged under a common name of Desjardins Insurance.
Desjardins and his friends formed the country rock ensemble Abbitibbi in the 1970s; Desjardins played piano, guitar, and sang. When the group disbanded in 1982, Desjardins pursued a solo career. He released a number of solo albums, including Tu m'aimes-tu in 1990 [ 2 ] and Boom Boom , [ 3 ] which appeared on the RPM 100 Top Albums list in 1998.

Arnaud Desjardins (French: [aʁno deʒaʁdɛ̃]; June 18, 1925 in Paris – August 10, 2011 in Grenoble) was a French author. He was a producer at the Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française from 1952 to 1974, and was one of the first high-profile practitioners of Eastern religion in France.
