County Route 514 (CR 514) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends 42.86 miles (68.98 km) from its western terminus US 202 and Route 31 in East Amwell Township to its eastern terminus Edgar Road in Elizabeth. West of its western terminus, CR 514 continues as Route 179.
From the New-East Brunswick Line to Old Bridge, the road was once maintained by the East Brunswick and New Brunswick Turnpike Company, chartered in 1865. It was once part of State Route S-24, now Route 18, though this was bypassed. The New Brunswick section of CR 527 was known as County Route 3R11 back in 1947.
The canal is accessible from many points along its route, with small parking areas providing access at most road crossings. One of the most scenic and popular sections of the D&R Canal state park is the segment along Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey , which features the canal on one side of the path and the lake on the other side.
