Sea Cadets are young men and women aged 10 through the end of high school who choose adventure, seek challenges, and step outside of their comfort zones. There are two programs within Sea Cadets. The Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) is for middle school students aged 10 to 13.
Sea Cadets instills values of discipline, accountability, and teamwork in a safe environment. We give cadets a chance to step outside of their comfort zones with dynamic challenges. We help our cadets thrive with humility and confidence.
Becoming a parent or guardian in the Sea Cadets is an exciting opportunity. Unlike many other extracurriculars, Sea Cadets allows your son or daughter to chart their own path to success, step outside of the comfort zone, and seek challenges.

Sea Cadet trainings occur only twice a year—during summer and winter school break. Trainings, which are 1-2 week-long and take place throughout the country, offer specialized disciplines such as field operations, aviation, seamanship,, robotics and SCUBA.
Our 2,500 volunteers dedicate over 278,000 hours of their time every year! Our adults guide our cadets towards a future filled with adventure, leadership, teamwork, knowledge, and friendship. Join us on our mission to build leaders of character.
