Peter Loeffler (/ l ɛ f. l ər / LEF-ler [2]; born October 19, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician.He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of the rock band Chevelle alongside his brother, drummer Sam Loeffler, who both of them are the only continuous original members of the band.
Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois, in 1995.The band was originally composed of two brothers, Pete Loeffler (lead vocals and guitar) and Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion), along with Matt Scott (bass and backing vocals).
Pete Loeffler, when talking about the album in an interview with Artistdirect, cited his difficulty when writing saying he read a lot of books and went on to cite Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins as an example of getting away from music when hitting a wall, quoted saying "I'm constantly rewriting them and trying not to rhyme too much."
