Established in 2009 with nine teams from various conferences including five teams from the Indian Trails Conference, which is a member of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, the Northeastern Athletic Conference included teams from the communities of Arlington Heights, Aurora, Chicago, Elgin, Hebron, Kirkland, Mooseheart, and Rockford.
In 1922, the first Andrews High School building opened. In 1939, the first gym for Andrews High School was built alongside the Farr Avenue building. Andrews High School or AHS is a public high school based in Andrews, Texas, United States and classified as a 4A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). It is a part of the Andrews Independent School District which serves all of Andrews County .
The modern school is the result of a merger between the all-girls St. Francis Academy and the all-male Joliet Catholic High School, which was formerly known as DeLaSalle High School for Boys. It is this merger that results in the school's shared affiliation with the Carmelites and the Joliet Franciscan Sisters .
