The Imphal West district of Manipur state in India has four sub-divisions. As of 2023, it has 4 municipal councils or municipal corporations, and 178 villages. [1] [2] The 2011 Census of India recorded 16 towns (including 3 municipal councils) and 124 villages in the district. [3]
As of 2001 India census, [2] Lilong (Imphal West) had a population of 10,417. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Lilong (Imphal West) has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 63%.
