From Lake Louisa the river flows north through a chain of lakes known as the Clermont Chain of lakes. In order the lakes are Lake Susan, Lake Minnehaha, Lake Palatlakaha, Lake Hiawatha, Lake Minneola, Cherry Lake, Lake Lucy and Lake Emma.
