Downtown McAllen is the main business district in McAllen, Texas. U.S. Interstate 2 runs directly south of the downtown area. The City's Central Business District and encompasses the area west of 10th street, east of Bicentennical, south of Hackberry and north of Interstate 2.

McAllen is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the most populous city in Hidalgo County. It is located at the southern tip of the state in the Rio Grande Valley, on the Mexico–United States border. The city limits extend south to the Rio Grande, across from the Mexican city of Reynosa. McAllen is about 70 mi (110 km) west of the Gulf of Mexico.
The highway serves as the main street for many communities in the area, such as McAllen, Mission, San Juan, Alamo, and more. This is the longest business loop in Texas, traveling almost 47 miles and is the third longest bannered US highway in the state; only US 90 Alternate and US 77 Alternate are longer.
The highway heads east along Pecan Boulevard through Mission to an intersection with SH 107 (Conway Avenue). It has an intersection with FM 494 (Shary Road) before entering McAllen . In McAllen, the highway has intersections with FM 2220 (Ware Road), FM 1926 (23rd Street), SH 336 (10th Street), and FM 2061 (McColl Street).
The stadium contains a full track and full-color video scoreboard. It is owned and operated by McAllen Independent School District, and is the home stadium for the football teams from McAllen High School, James "Nikki" Rowe High School, and McAllen Memorial High School. Memorial Stadium is the largest stadium in the Rio Grande Valley. [2]
