The former St. Francis Seminary is an historic building located at 10290 Mill Road in Springfield Township in the northern suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. On March 5, 1999, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now a Franciscan retirement community named Mercy Franciscan at Winton Woods. [2] [3]
In 1950, Archbishop John T. McNicholas designated the academy would become the first co-ed parochial high school in Cincinnati. Archbishop McNicholas died before the school was opened and his successor, Archbishop Karl J. Alter approved on January 15, 1951, that the school be named for Archbishop McNicholas.
By mid-2024, several more institutes had been accredited at ATS. They included Kairos University which was founded in 2021 by Sioux Falls Seminary, South Dakota, Evangelical Theological Seminary Pennsylvania, Houston Graduate School of Theology Texas and Taylor College and Seminary in Edmonton, Alberta.
