FF housing capture about 50% of the light while regular housing only capture about 30%. In the end your decision between FF and regular is just if you want it to be brighter or not. 700 just has a bigger housing than the 500, only difference. I have 2 700FF Hellas. RedTacomaTy, Jan 9, 2013.

The German Hella Factory lights are the way to go... but you will pay for QUALITY... IMO. I have gotten a pair of 4300 bulbs that flicker... then asked for a pair of 5000 bulbs, but was sent 6000s... that are as blue as 8000... then sent back and the next pair of '5000's that came flicker and are yellower than the 4300s (ie. 4000 or less ºK).

Run a wire from the second pin on the switch to the 85 pin on the relay. Use a female type spade connector at the end to connect to the relay. Now for the 3rd wire. This wire goes to the ac controls. Pop the ac control assembly out of the dash using a utility knife, but be careful not to break the blade.

I keep finding that the 2009 trucks have a 9145 lights, with a T-4 socket. I found a table that says 9005's are equivalent bulbs. However, Hella's 9005 are running 65 watts, whereas every other bulb I can find is 45 watts. Additionally, the 9005's don't have a glare cap, which seems to defeat the purpose of running them as fog lights.
