Dwight D. Eisenhower High School (Eisenhower, EHS, or Ike) is a public four-year high school located in Blue Island, Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Community High School District 218 along with sister schools Alan B. Shepard High School and Harold L. Richards High School .
In 1960, Joliet joined from the Big 8 and newly opened Thornridge High School was added to the league as well. 1962 witnessed the name change of Blue Island High School to Dwight D. Eisenhower High School.
As of the 2014–2015 school year, Eisenhower ranked better than 89.9% of all high schools in Michigan. As such, Eisenhower is the top performing high school in Macomb County, and one of the top performing high schools in the Metro Detroit area.
