The museum was formed in late 1995 and was originally known as the Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum. [1] However, the museum was not open to the public until October 4, 2004. It relocated to a new location in August 2006. An expansion on the museum's North Gallery broke ground in 2008.
Minnehaha is a steam-powered excursion vessel on Lake Minnetonka in the U.S. state of Minnesota.The vessel was originally in service between 1906 and 1926.
