Sand Harbor features a large sandy beach, picnicking facilities, a nature trail, a boat launch, and a visitors’ center and is the site of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. [3] The Sand Harbor unit covers 55 acres (22 ha).
The park has a visitors center plus facilities for picnicking, camping, and hiking.
