Connecticut (/ k ə ˈ n ɛ t ɪ k ə t / ⓘ kə-NET-ih-kət) [10] is a state in the New England region of the Northeastern United States. Downtown New Britain station is the terminus of CT Fastrak. Connecticut Route 9 is the city's main expressway connecting traffic between Hartford (via I-84 and I-91) and Old Saybrook and Middletown. I-84 itself clips the northwestern corner of the city. Public transportation is provided by Connecticut Transit.
