Education Through Music - Los Angeles is an independent 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006 in Los Angeles in the United States. The group aims to provide and promote music education into the curricula of schools of low-income students in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas, in order to enhance students' academic performance and creative and general development.
The school was originally known as East Los Angeles Area High School #2. In 2006 the school was named Esteban E. Torres High School, after retired U.S. Representative Esteban Edward Torres . [ 3 ] The school opened on September 13, 2010 [ 1 ] with students in grades 9–12.

The Los Angeles Women's Music Festival also donated a percentage of proceeds to Los Angeles animal rescue groups. The festival was started in 2007 as an annual festival but was on hiatus during 2008 and was scheduled to return in 2009, although the latter event never materialized. As of 2015, it is on indefinite hiatus due to financial challenges.
