The Drummond family is an American ranching family from Oklahoma. The family is one of the largest land-owning families in the state of Oklahoma and the United States. In 2017, the family owned 433,000 acres according to The Land Report magazine.
The Saxon Old St Peter and St Paul's Church, within the grounds of Albury Park, predates 1066. Albury Park was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. Over the centuries the estate has changed hands many times. [2] The grounds of Albury Park were laid out by John Evelyn, the 17th-century diarist and landscape gardener, between 1655 and 1677. [3]
In 1819 the Albury Park estate was bought by Henry Drummond, a London banker. During the following year the spire on the tower was replaced by a cupola (a small dome). Drummond became involved with the foundation of the Catholic Apostolic Church in the 1830s, and built a church for this religious movement on his estate.
