"Tiến Quân Ca" (lit. "The Song of the Marching Troops") is the national anthem of Vietnam.The march was written and composed by Văn Cao in 1944, and was adopted as the national anthem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1946 (as per the 1946 constitution) and subsequently the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1976 following the reunification of Vietnam.
The German version is a song against the war. Freddy Quinn sings the song from the point of view of a reluctant but forced soldier, [citation needed] Heidi Brühl from the point of view of the crying girlfriend of the soldier. [citation needed] Freddy Quinn's version was later recorded by Welle: Erdball and also by Cryptic Wintermoon.
The song reflects on those who served in the Vietnam War and whose names are forever etched in stone at the Vietnam War Memorial. As of this writing, the wall currently has 58,000 names and counting.

Calley and the Mỹ Lai massacre, with music historian Justin Brummer writing in History Today that "The most well-known song defending Calley was the ‘Battle Hymn of Lt.
