Nassau Bay is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States, bordering the outermost southeastern edge of the city of Houston. It is located in the Clear Lake Area near Galveston Bay , directly adjacent to the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center .
Armand Bayou runs from its headwaters in Pasadena for about ten miles to the southeast, to its mouth at Mud Lake, near Taylor Lake Village. [2] The 59-square-mile Armand Bayou Watershed includes 89 miles of natural streams, which drain several settlements in southeast Harris County, including Deer Park, La Porte, Pasadena, and Taylor Lake Village.
In 1999 the city appropriated $2.5 million to begin building the park. In 2001 the park received its current name. Bay Area Park is also home to an off leash dog park, which offers both small dog and large dog areas. It is located on Bay Area Blvd next to the University of Houston Clear Lake and the Armand Bayou Nature Center. [37]

League City is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, in Galveston County, within the Greater Houston metropolitan area. The population was 114,392 at the 2020 census. [5]The city of League City has a small portion north of Clear Creek within Harris County zoned for residential and commercial uses. [7]

Texas' annexation brought more people to Texas and ranching interests around the bay began to grow. Throughout the 19th century Galveston remained Texas' dominant metropolis and the communities around the bay were strongly tied economically and culturally to the city though, as Houston began to develop, so did the Bay Area's ties to it.
