The magazine “Distance Running” is published four times a year and distributed free to runners at events organised by AIMS members. Since 2013 the organisation has hosted a gala dinner each year at which the Best Marathon Runner award is given to honour the year’s most outstanding distance athletes.

The 2024 Olympic marathon route will take runners from Paris to Versailles and back, organizers announced Tuesday.
The route, specially designed for the Paris 2024 Games and approved by World Athletics, was unique, demanding, and technical. Paris 2024 unveiled the routes for the Olympic marathon and the two races – a 42.195 km course and a 10 km course – open to the general public as part of the mass event running. [5]
The 2025 Diamond League will be the sixteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010.
