Camp 4 is a tent-only campground in Yosemite National Park in the United States. [2] It became notable after World War II as "a birthplace of rock climbing’s modern age." [3] It is located at an elevation of 4000 ft (1200 m) on the north side of the Yosemite Valley, close to base of granite cliffs near Yosemite Falls.
These cabins feature wood frames, platforms, and heavy canvas covers. Originally, the cabins lacked doors, but wooden frames with doors were added in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The tent-style accommodations have been part of Camp Curry since its inception. This style of canvas cabin was also commonly found in Yosemite's High Country camps. [7]
Those reservations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on www.recreation.gov beginning Monday at 8 a.m. The dates that can be reserved are Feb. 8-9, 15-17 and 22-23.
