Amelia Randall Meath (born July 2, 1988) is an American musician, songwriter, producer, and dancer who is a member of the musical groups Sylvan Esso and Mountain Man. She is based in Durham, North Carolina .
Mountain Man is a 1965 novel written by Vardis Fisher. Set in the mid-1800s United States, it tells the story of Sam Minard, a hunter/trapper living and wandering throughout Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. The book is separated into three parts: Lotus, Kate and Sam.
Lead singer Amelia Meath, who was at the time involved with her trio, Mountain Man, created the vocals to the song called "Play It Right".She later met electronic music producer Nick Sanborn (who played bass in band Megafaun) in Milwaukee at the Cactus Club, [4] at the time performing solo as Made of Oak, [5] and asked him to make a rendering of her single, Play It Right, in his own way.
