The 2024 Missouri Secretary of State election was held on November 5, 2024, to elect the secretary of state of the state of Missouri. It coincided with the concurrent presidential election, as well as various state and local elections, including for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and governor of Missouri. The primaries took place on August 6, 2024. [1]
Judith K. Moriarty (born February 2, 1942) is an American politician from Missouri. She was the first woman to serve as Missouri Secretary of State. She was impeached in 1994 for conduct issues, and forced from office. She was a member of the Democratic Party, until 2005, switching to the Libertarian Party.
Secretary of State Judith Moriarty made it mauve for one year in 1993. [1] In March 2011, the Missouri General Assembly voted to stop hard copy printing of the book but continue publishing it online. At the time, 40,000 copies were printed, with 23,000 going to legislators and the rest being mailed on request.
Missouri state elections were held on November 8, 2022, and the primary election were held on August 2, 2022. [ 1 ] Missouri voters elected their Class 3 US Senator , State Auditor , all of the seats for the House of Representatives , all of the seats of the Missouri House of Representatives , and 17 of 34 seats in the Missouri State Senate .
Incumbent Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan won the 2008 Missouri secretary of state election with 61.8% of the vote against Republican candidate Mitchell Hubbard. She announced on September 30, 2011, that she will not run for reelection, creating an open seat in 2012.
