MTV Sub (formerly TVTV!, Subtv and Sub) is a Finnish television channel owned by MTV Oy. The previous owner Alma Media sold Sub and its sister channels ( MTV3 , C More Max , MTV Ava Radio Nova and Sävelradio) to Swedish Bonnier and Proventus in 2005.
With the terrestrial launch, the channel's name was changed to Subtv Leffa. In the terrestrial network, the channel operates between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., sharing its broadcast space with MTV Juniori for the rest of the day. When Subtv changed its name to simply Sub, the movie channel followed suit and was renamed Sub Leffa.
After that, the service merged with Canal Digital in late 1997. Competing pay television Viasat and Yle's channel TV Finland started digital broadcasts in 1999. Big Brother Suomi (formerly Big Brother) is the Finnish version of the reality television franchise Big Brother. The Finnish adaptation was broadcast on Sub (formerly SubTV) in Finland from 2005 to 2014. The series premiered on Sub on 28 August 2005 and the tenth season concluded on 14 November 2014.
MTV Juniori (formerly Subtv Juniori, Sub Juniori, MTV3 Juniori and C More Juniori) is a Finnish television channel targeting children, owned and operated by MTV Oy.It is part of the C More channels package, broadcasting programs and movies for children from 6 am to 8 p.m.
