Sinaia (Romanian pronunciation:) is a town and a mountain resort in Prahova County, Romania. It is situated in the historical region of Muntenia . The town was named after the Sinaia Monastery of 1695, around which it was built.

Construction began in 1912 and was finished a year later. [1] The work was supervised by architect Petre Antonescu, who was also the author of the plans.

They are alleged to be a chronicle of the Dacians, but are considered by some scholars to be modern forgeries. [1] The plates were written in the Greek alphabet with a few other character additions.
