Lost Trail Powder Mountain is an alpine ski area in the western United States, on the Montana-Idaho border in the northern Rocky Mountains.In the Bitterroot Range, it is at the junction of US Highway 93 and Montana State Highway 43 at Lost Trail Pass, about one mile (1.6 km) northwest of Chief Joseph Pass, which is on the Continental Divide.
Lost Trail Pass is a mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains of the northwestern United States, on the border of Idaho and Montana in the Bitterroot Mountains. The pass is at an elevation of 7,014 feet (2,138 m) above sea level and is traversed by U.S. Highway 93 .
West of the pass, the highway connects with US-93 at Lost Trail Pass, about a half-mile (0.8 km) west of the divide. Between the passes, the Montana highway is actually in Idaho, for about one mile (1.6 km). This is the northernmost pass on the continental divide between Idaho and Montana.
The highway exits Idaho at Lost Trail Pass at 7,014 feet (2,138 m) and enters Montana toward the Bitterroot Valley. West of the highway at the pass is the Lost Trail Powder Mountain ski area, with terrain in both states.

The trail includes the tunnel at St. Paul Pass, [23] which is 1.66 miles (2.7 km) in length at an elevation of 4,150 feet (1,260 m). Bus service is available to take bicycle riders back to the start of the trail. A fee is charged for riding the trail, and during the winter months the trail is closed.
