Petta (/ p eɪ t t ə / transl. Hood) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action drama film [8] directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures.The film stars Rajinikanth, alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, M. Sasikumar, Simran, Trisha, Megha Akash, Malavika Mohanan, Mahendran, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Aadukalam Naren, Munishkanth and Sananth.
Subbaraj directed the action drama Petta (2019) with Rajinikanth's 166th film. He also produced the Amazon original movie Penguin starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. [ 11 ] He then produced the Hotstar Originals web series Triples starring Jai and Vani Bhojan .
On 1 March 2018, Sun Pictures announced that Anirudh Ravichander would compose music for the film marking his maiden collaboration with Rajinikanth and Subbaraj.
