Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor, standard Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈkɾistu ʁedẽˈtoʁ]) is an Art Deco statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French-Polish sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot.

It is one of the tallest statues of Jesus Christ in the world, at 40 m (130 ft). It stands on the top of Buntu Burake hill about 1.700 metres above sea level. [4] [5] Jesus Buntu Burake also has a glass bridge. [6] A competition was held in 2013 to work on this statue and is open to the public.
The Statue of Christ the Redeemer of Maratea (Italian: Cristo Redentore di Maratea) is a statue of Jesus Christ in Maratea, southern Italy, realized in Carrara marble on the top of the Mountain “St. Biagio". The sculpture was created by the Florentine sculptor Bruno Innocenti. The entire Statue was completed in 1965.
At the base of the statue is the observation deck, at 82 metres (269 ft), which enables panoramic views of the city of Lisbon, the Tagus River and the 25 de Abril Bridge. Under the statue, occupying a fifth of the pedestal's height is the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace (Nossa Senhora da Paz) with an entrance from the northern facade. [6]
The statue is slightly smaller than Christ the King in Świebodzin, Poland (36 m tall if the 2 metres (6.6 ft) high crown of Christ the King is counted) and taller than the Christ the Redeemer (30 m tall) outside Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and it is the second largest statue of Jesus Christ in the world.
