Immaculate Conception Catholic Church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Celina, Ohio, United States. Founded later than many other Catholic parishes in the heavily Catholic region of western Ohio, it owns a complex of buildings constructed in the early 20th century that have been designated historic sites because of their architecture.
[5]: 4 Immaculate Conception's school was founded in 1881, when the parish purchased a church building formerly used by the Botkins Methodist Church. In 1883, the school's enrollment was ninety-three children: forty-nine boys and forty-four girls. [2] A new parish school building was erected in 1921, adjacent to the church. [1]

The Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary are a Roman Catholic religious congregation. They were founded at MarijampolÄ—, Lithuania, by Archbishop George Matulaitis, MIC on October 15, 1918. The sisters observe the evangelical counsels and live in their religious community.
On December 29, 1978, the Immaculate Conception Church, School, and Rectory was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. [1] The school and rectory have since been closed. In August 2005, workmen began chipping out bricks and glass block where a rose window once stood. The original had been lost in a storm.
In 1943 both buildings were sold to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and were converted for the use of the Immaculate Conception Church, founded in 1855, as a sanctuary and Clergy House. [4] The buildings were designated a New York City landmark in 1966, [5] and were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
