Gordon C. Felts House is a historic home located at Galax, Virginia. It was completed in 1930, and is a large 2 + 1 ⁄ 2 -story stuccoed brick dwelling in the Mission Revival style. It features a terra cotta mission style gabled roof.
The majority of the buildings were built in the 1920s. Notable buildings include the old fire station (c. 1920), Colonial Theater (1930), Waugh Department Store (1904), Rex Theater (1938), and Galax Municipal Building (1908). SR 274 begins at US 58 and US 221 (Grayson Parkway) a short distance east of the town of Independence. The state highway heads northeast as a two-lane undivided road and veers north on reaching the New River. SR 274 follows the river north and east along its left bank, once veering away from the river as it bends southeast.
