Kirani Zeno James CBE COG (born 1 September 1992) is a Grenadian professional sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres.He won the 400 m at the World Championships in 2011 and won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. [2]

Grenada has not competed in any Winter Olympic Games yet. After 28 years of competing in the Summer Olympic Games, Grenada won its first medal at the London 2012 Olympics, when Kirani James clocked a new national record of 43.94 seconds on 6 August 2012 to win gold in the Men's 400 meters.

He was the first Grenadian athlete to win this title. He also earned All-American honors as part of the Barton County Community 4 × 400 m team which finish third at the outdoor Championships. [3] [4] He represented Grenada at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games and placed fourth in the Men's 400m.
