The Ardennes Regional Natural Park is a popular destination for tourists, accessible via the Trans-Ardennes Greenway , a cycle touring path along the Meuse River, as well as cyclocross trails that traverse forests and slopes. Additionally, hiking trails are marked out for walkers.
The park is located in the Ardennes on the Luxembourg side of the Our river, on the north-eastern edge of Luxembourg in the border triangle with Belgium and Germany.It covers an area of 419.77 km 2 [2] and with around 16,000 inhabitants the area of the 7 municipalities Clervaux, Kiischpelt, Parc Hosingen, Putscheid, Tandel, Troisvierges and Vianden.
The Ardennes (French: Ardenne ⓘ; Dutch: Ardennen [ɑrˈdɛnə(n)] ⓘ; German: Ardennen; Walloon: Årdene; Luxembourgish: Ardennen [ɑʁˈdænən]), also known as the Ardennes Forest or Forest of Ardennes, is a region of extensive forests, rough terrain, rolling hills and ridges primarily in Belgium and Luxembourg, extending into Germany and France.
Cross-country skiing in the High Fens is permitted on specified forest tracks which are located in the outskirts or even outside the nature reserve. Hiking trails have been reorganized outside the parks reserved areas. The walk routes would be limited to undergrowth adjacent to nature reserve.
