1. There's something called "Canon IJ Printer Utility" which allows me to do some basic maintenance from the computer. But I can't find it anywhere although I did download and install the whole software + drivers package. Navigating through various Canon websites always takes me to "Canon IJ Scanner Utility" which on a Pro-10s clearly isn't useful.

Searching online, I understand that Canon diabolically includes planned obsolescence in their printers, not realizing that switching out an old printer doesn't happen in a vacuum and, in my case means I would need to buy a new computer too. Canon iP 1800 MG3500. You may probably know or more probably do not know that there is no WHITE ink available for Canon print head platform. You only have it for Epson piezo print head platform. If you try to put that same white ink in Canon print head you are going to fuse it in the second. And you can throw that print head or printer away.

When they get 100% full the printer is locked and the only possible operation is unlocking the printer from service mode. @arw4 I think your printer had service mode locked due to the use of a too old service tool. More Canon users have experienced this locking of service mode.
