Nova TV is a Croatian free-to-air television network launched on 28 May 2000. It was the first commercial television network with national concession in the country. From 2004 until 2018 it was fully owned by the Central European Media Enterprises .

Superstar is one of several Croatian iterations based on the Idol format. Nova TV previously aired Hrvatski Idol, which ran for two seasons between 2004 and 2005. RTL, the same network that airs Superstar, previously aired Hrvatska traži zvijezdu (English: Star Search Croatia), which ran for three seasons between 2009 and 2011.
Farma debuted on Nova TV on 9 March 2008 as the first HDTV program to be broadcast in Croatia. [1] The series concluded its run on Nova TV on 30 December 2020 with the finale of the seventh season.
