The Chevrolet Impala (/ ɪ m ˈ p æ l ə,-ˈ p ɑː l ə /) is a full-size car that was built by Chevrolet for model years 1958 to 1985, 1994 to 1996, and 2000 to 2020. I added Pontiac Grand Prix as predecessor. Yes, different brands I know. But a name is just a name, and the Chevy SS replaced the Pontiac G8, so the Impala most certainly did take place of both the W-body predecessor and the related Grand Prix model. The Epilson-body model was a far more luxurious vehicle, too.
