This is a list of law enforcement agencies in the state of Arkansas. According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics' 2008 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies, the state had 237 law enforcement agencies employing 6,779 sworn police officers, about 236 for each 100,000 residents.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 732 square miles (1,900 km 2), of which 708 square miles (1,830 km 2) are land and 23 square miles (60 km 2) (3.2%) are water. [5] The highest natural point in Arkansas, Magazine Mountain at 2,753 feet (839 m), is located in Logan County.
Built in 1903, it is one of the state's best-preserved early 20th-century county jails. [2] It is the site of the last legal hanging in Arkansas, which took place when John Arthur Tillman, 23, was hung on July 15, 1914, at 7 am for the murder of Amanda Jane Stephens, 19. The jail was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [1]

The Logan County Courthouse, Southern Judicial District is a historic courthouse in Booneville, Arkansas, one of two county seats of Logan County.It is a three-story masonry building, built out of buff brick with limestone trim.
