Blair County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census , the population was 122,822. [ 2 ] Its county seat is Hollidaysburg , and its largest city is Altoona . [ 3 ]
The first church in town, St. John the Evangelist, was dedicated the following year. The first resident pastor was the Reverend John Tuigg, who was assigned by Bishop Michael O'Connor of the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 1853. When the Diocese of Altoona was established in 1901, St. John's Church became the pro-cathedral. [4]
