The Rodovia Anhanguera (official designation SP-330) (In English: Anhanguera Highway) is a highway in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It is one of the country's busiest transportation corridors. A 2005 survey conducted amongst Brazilian truck drivers rated it as the best transportation axis in the country.
Its boundaries were nearly identical to the current municipality of São Pedro do Sul, and its first justice of the peace was José Luiz Medeiros. The city's formation dates back to 1866, when Crescêncio José Pereira donated 14 hectares of land to build a chapel and distributed lands for free to those who wanted to reside here.
With the first permanent Portuguese settlement in the region, livestock was introduced and began to spread far and wide over the territory. With the new settlers, the Portuguese decided to make a church-sanctioned settlement and, in 1736, created the Freguesia de São Pedro which covered what is today all of Uruguay and Rio Grande do Sul.
