Danny Darnell Carr [1] (born 1970) is the District Attorney of Jefferson County, Alabama, serving since November 27, 2018. Carr previously served as the county's interim district attorney in 2017. He is the first African-American District Attorney in the Birmingham division of the Jefferson County, Alabama District Attorney’s office.
The United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama (in case citations, M.D. Ala.) is a United States district court in the Eleventh Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). The District was established on February 6, 1839. [1]
Elizabeth Prim Formby Escalona [1] is the interim United States attorney for the Northern District of Alabama since July 16, 2020. [2] Escalona previously served as a law clerk for William H. Pryor Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals and as Deputy Solicitor General in the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Alabama.
