The derbi femení [1] [2] [3] (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈðɛɾβi fəməˈni]; "women's derby") is the football rivalry between FC Barcelona Femení and RCD Espanyol Femení, the women's divisions of the main football clubs in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
RCD Espanyol was one of the pioneering teams in women's football in Spain, playing its first match as early as 1970.
