I am looking for a sans serif Windows font that looks like the letters a child would make when learning their ABC's. For instance, it should have a "one story" lowercase "a", and not a "two story" lowercase "a", that is it should be more like an "o" with a vertical line to the right, rather than a top line that curves to the left.
There are many such, but not all are supplied with Office 2003. Among those that are are Brush Script (not really a "handwriting font"), Edwardian Script ITC, French Script, Kunstler Script, Lucida Handwriting Italic, Mistral, Palace Script, Rage Italic, Script MT Bold, and Vladimir Script.
Report abuse. In reply to Stefan Blom's post on September 8, 2013. Additionally, go to the Options dialog's General page and check the box for Enable Live Preview. Then any text in the document that is selected will show the font that the mouse pointer points to in the Fonts dropdown; when you find one you like, click it to apply it to the text.

However I couldn't write anything using the Amharic font. this is because the control panel has not activated the Amharic input method. I have posted the screen shot below.
