Marion County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama.As of the 2020 census the population was 29,341. [1] The county seat is Hamilton. [2] The county was created by an act of the Alabama Territorial General Assembly on February 13, 1818.

Twin, also known as Yampertown, is a town in Marion County, Alabama, United States. It is about equidistant from Brilliant, Guin and Winfield. It incorporated on August 6, 2002, [4] becoming the 10th incorporated community in Marion County. It had a population of 359 as of the 2020 census. [2]
Winfield is located in southern Marion County at (33.928258, -87.807990), [6] with a portion extending south into Fayette County U.S. Route 43 passes through the city, leading northwest 6.5 miles (10.5 km) to Guin and south 18 miles (29 km) to Fayette.
