The McLain Rogers Park, in Clinton, Oklahoma, was built in 1934 and following years. It includes Art Deco architecture. It has also been known as Clinton City Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The listing included four contributing buildings, nine contributing structures, and a contributing object. [1]
Foss Reservoir, also known as Foss Lake, is in Custer County, Oklahoma on the Washita River, about 15 miles (24 km) west of Clinton, Oklahoma. The reservoir was constructed during 1958–1961 by the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation. The project was known originally as the Washita Basin Project.
Clinton is located on historic U.S. Route 66, which is now Interstate 40. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.9 square miles (23.2 km 2), of which 8.9 square miles (23.1 km 2) is land and 0.04 square mile (0.1 km 2) (0.22%) is water.
The Oklahoma City Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Starting Saturday, March 16 through Sunday, March 24, the zoo will be open until 6 p.m. for Spring Break.
