BT 1471 - dial 1471 to check the number that last called you. Ex-directory - take your number off the telephone directory.
There are three ways you can block calls. 1. Block a number before answering the call. Press 'Block' on the left hand soft key as the incoming call rings. Your phone will go hands-free and you'll hear it add the number to your Personal Blocklist. 2. Block the number during the call. During the call press 'Options' > 'Block'.

I believe there is (or was) an online section in my account where I can see the list of blocked numbers and am able to delete/unblock numbers from it. However, I can't find it anywhere. The only reference I can find tells to call 1572, which only allows me to turn the bt blocklist on or off.
You need to use a call blocking phone, like the BT4600, and that will do what you want. You only have to answer calls that you want to receive, and force others to announce themselves first, which scam callers never do.
They go to your Call Protect junk voicemail. You can still listen to any messages moved to your junk voicemail and unblock any numbers that you need to keep. Just press [Call Protect] on the home screen and follow the steps.

3 October 2024 - BT’s new Enhanced Call Protect on Digital Voice has successfully blocked more than 2,430,000 scam and identified 17,700,000 spam calls to landlines since the new scam protection service from Hiya was introduced in May.
Call Protect is an opt-in service, available for free to all existing and new BT home landline customers – and it's available now. To activate the service, call 0800 389 1572 from your BT landline or sign up via BT's Call Protect webpage .
