Polearm Master This attack uses the same ability modifier as the primary attack. The weapon’s damage die for this attack is a d4, and it deals bludgeoning damage. Quarterstaff is a monk weapon. Weapon damage is d4 (in this case) If you use the Polearm Master Bonus Action attack with a quarterstaff, you are still using a monk weapon.
