Mason Gamble (born January 16, 1986) is an American former actor. He played the eponymous comic character in the 1993 film Dennis the Menace , selected from over 20,000 children. [ 2 ] He also played a sidekick in Wes Anderson 's film Rushmore .
Mason Gamble won the role of Dennis Mitchell after beating out a reported 20,000 children who had auditioned for it. [3] The film premiered on June 25, 1993. It is known as simply Dennis in the United Kingdom to avoid confusion with an unrelated British comic strip, also called Dennis the Menace, which debuted in 1951. [4]
